How does Autogain in the new stompbox pedals work?

Question

The new stompbox line (Harmony Singer 2, Mic Mechanic 2, Duplicator, Critical Mass, Talkbox Synth) got rid of the manual input gain of previous TC Helicon stompbox pedals...  How does this autogain feature work?

Answer

The autogain works as you sing into the microphone after powering the pedal on, by matching the XLR output level to your XLR input level  It doesn't bump up the output to line-level or anything, if you're sending the pedal a microphone-level signal, it'll output a microphone-level signal.  You don't need to do anything manually, or worry about clipping; the pedal takes care of it all!
