Perform-VE - Preset and sample management via the mobile app

Did you know Perform-VE has a mobile companion app for Android and iOS devices?  This app can be used to manage your custom presets, and in the case of the iOS app even manage your samples.
  • The Android version of the app is available for free here (requires Android 4.0.3 or higher)
  • The iOS version of the app is available for free here (requires iOS 9.3 or higher)
  • You can use the app to store custom presets from the Perform-VE hardware, and send saved presets from the app to your hardware
  • If you've sent a preset from the app to your Perform-VE, and you want to save that preset on the Perform-VE for later use, press and hold the current preset's button ("1", "2", or "3") to save the sent preset onto your hardware
  • Unlike the Perform-V and Perform-VK mobile apps, the Perform-VE app cannot "beam" presets and requires a physical connection (detailed below) to communicate with your hardware
  • Connecting to your Perform-VE is done via USB - You'll use the supplied USB cable to connect to the USB-mini jack in the back of the unit, and also an adapter to connect to whichever format your mobile device supports

Android

The Android version of the Perform-VE app is limited to just preset management, no sample management unfortunately.

Connecting your Android device to your Perform-VE is done with the supplied USB cable, and the addition of a separate cable adapter.  The supplied USB cable will connect to the USB-mini jack on the back of Perform-VE, leaving a USB type-A jack on the other end which you'll then need to adapt to the USB format of your Android device (likely USB-micro or USB-C).  These mobile adapter cables are typically called "OTG" (on the go) cables and look like this:

With the app launched, connecting your Perform-VE will invoke a popup message confirming the connection:

With that, you're all set to load and save presets to and from your Android device.

iOS

The iOS version of the Perform-VE app allows you to manage both presets and samples.

Connecting your iOS device to your Perform-VE is done with the supplied USB cable, and the addition of a separate cable adapter.  The supplied USB cable will connect to the USB-mini jack on the back of Perform-VE, leaving a USB type-A jack on the other end which you'll then need to adapt to Apple's lightning format.  There are a couple adapters you can use, there's is this small one for a direct connection, or this larger one which also allows you to simultaneously keep your iOS device charged.

With the app launched, connecting your Perform-VE will invoke a popup message confirming the connection:

With that, you're all set!
You can "Capture" samples recorded on the Perform-VE hardware to store in the app for later use.  Tapping on a sample in the app will send it to the "Sample" button on the connected Perform-VE hardware.
The "Combo" section allows you to couple both the sample and the effect settings of a preset.
